Privacy Policy

TravelWake does not require reader accounts, membership logins, or a checkout flow. The information we process therefore stays limited to what is needed to run the site responsibly.

• Standard request and delivery data handled by Cloudflare, such as IP address, browser details, device type, requested URL, and basic security or performance logs.
• Optional aggregate analytics data from Google Analytics, but only after you explicitly allow it through our cookie controls.
• Any information you send directly to us, for example when you email travelwake@gmail.com.

The purpose is operational and editorial, not surveillance-driven. TravelWake uses data to keep pages available, understand what readers find useful, improve speed and usability, and respond when someone contacts us directly.

When analytics are enabled, we configure them in a restrained mode: IP anonymisation is enabled, advertising personalisation is disabled, and we do not use the data to build remarketing audiences.

TravelWake does not sell personal data. We share information only with service providers needed to operate the publication, primarily Cloudflare for delivery and security, and Google Analytics when you have opted in.

Those providers may process data outside your country of residence. Where that happens, it is done under their applicable legal and contractual safeguards. Our consent preference is remembered for 180 days so you are not forced to answer the same prompt on every visit.

You can refuse or later change analytics consent at any time through the Cookie Settings control in the footer or via the Cookie Policy. Depending on where you live, you may also have rights to request access, correction, deletion, restriction, or objection regarding personal data processed about you.
